Allow us to introduce ourselves:
Wolfgang
Wolfgang organizes and manages the team.
He has been sailing and working with ships for almost 30 years.
He has lived in Phuket since 1995, and he knows the islands like the back of his hand.
That means sailing more than 70,000 nautical miles with his own ship in the region around Phuket, the Mergui Archipelago in Burma, Malaysia, and the Andaman Islands in India.
As our ship’s Skipper, he advises us on the routes to take and shares his navigation secrets. Wolfgang and his wife Margriet have two grown sons, who are both students.
Joy
Joy is Wolfgang’s right hand, and she helps him with management duties and organizes the crew.
She is also our Thai to English translator, and she deals with administrative duties.
Joy has been working with us for almost 9 years, and is an integral part of the family – we sure couldn’t do this without her!
She has two teenage daughters, whom she’d do anything for.
Joy actually started out as a cook, and our regular customers still beg her to cook for them.
En
As our ship mechanic, En is the Cataleya’s heart and soul.
He oversees everything, takes care of the machines, repairs any minor issues, and always seems to be everywhere at once.
En always has a smile ready, as you’ll see when you meet him.
In the seven years that En has spent with the Cataleya, they’ve become inseparable.
His knowledge of the area is unparalleled.
En will gladly show you the most beautiful tropical islands, the best places to drop anchor, and the most exciting snorkeling spots.
Chern
Our chef Chern is truly the pearl of the Cataleya.
She cooks the most delicious meals all around the clock.
Her culinary masterpieces are truly a treat.
She prepares the most delicious dishes in both Thai and European cuisine.
And she rounds it all off with great desserts and a smile.
You won’t forget her cooking anytime soon.
